Editorial Policy

How we research, present, and update product reviews and buying guides.

Last updated

Research and sources

We start with information readers can check, such as product labels, specification sheets, seller terms, and public sources. We attribute seller claims and identify details we could not verify. If a claim relies on research about an ingredient, we distinguish that from evidence about the finished product.

What a review covers

We compare relevant features, ingredients, price and package details, and purchase terms. Where useful, we explain how the options differ and note practical trade-offs. When a piece relies on desk research or covers a sample topic, we describe it accordingly. We identify hands-on testing when it actually took place.

Commercial relationships

Affiliate relationships and any other material connections are disclosed where they are relevant. Our editorial standard is to keep commercial arrangements separate from the conclusions in an article.

See the Affiliate Disclosure for how we identify links that may earn us a commission.

Corrections and updates

Product formulations, availability, and prices can change. We update articles when new information warrants a revision. When a material factual correction is made, we aim to note the change on the affected page.

To report a potential error, send us the page link, the detail in question, and a source if you have one.

Health content

Our articles are educational and written for general readers. If you need advice about using a product, bring its label and your questions to a qualified healthcare professional.
